Zirconium (Zr)

Zirconium is a reactive metal with a very high affinity for Oxygen. At room temperature a protective oxide layer is formed which provides Zr with excellent corrosion resistance to a range of aggressive media i.e. hot chloride salt solutions, Sulphuric Acid, Nitric Acid, Organic Acids.

Isolthermics supplies Zr round bar in grades 702 and 705.

Molybdenum (Mo)

Molybdenum is a refractory metal with excellent high temperature strength, low thermal expansion, and excellent thermal and electrical conductivity up to very high temperatures.

The melting point for Mo is 2620 deg. C.
